Beveled edges. 128 photographs & stereoscope resting in lowered pockets in front-and rear endpaper. Additional 72 photos mounted on heavy black card stock throughout book as published. Photographs by Hans Berger, Hermann Friedrich, Ludwig Gimple, Hermann Großberger, H. Gutjahr, Heinrich Heuer, Hugo Jäger, H. Jahns, Ludwig Klüg, Hans Rudolphi, Hermann Schmalle, Otto Schnöstein, Gustav Thorlichen and Walter Tröller. "Gau(e)" was the Nazi's term for district. There were 43 Gaue during the Third Reich.
