Prussian 12th Dragoon Regiment Officer Model 1897 with matching Major epaulettes.  Black lacquered leather “Dragoon Style” helmet body with silver metal trim.  Helmet body has perfect form with firm stitching and squared front visor.  Exterior lacquer matte with age but not damaged.  Interior has Officer sweat leather and silk headliner.  Silk is complete but frayed with age. Frontplate is the Prussian Dragoon style line eagle in frosted silver metal.  Silver Officer style crossed base and tall Officer removable spike.  Officer ornamentation around spike base and 4 gold stars to affix base to helmet.  Gold rounded chinscales on silver rosettes.  Officer Reichs and Prussian 2- piece cockades.  Comes with conical carrying case and officer epaulettes with the number 12 on the top.  Rare find in todays marketplace.
