This is one of the rarest production daggers, used exclusively by customs officers stationed along Germany’s coastlines.  This example is a textbook “heavy brass” example by the firm of Clemen & Jung, known to be one of the few manufacturers to produce this model dagger.  This specimen is in nearly flawless condition, having 100% leather to the exterior scabbard and grip, with very minor abrasive flaws, but none that could not be 100% covered by a tiny application of blue-colored shoe polish.  Exterior fittings are brass, and are covered with 95% or better of the fire gold finish.  Blade shows very minor wear.  Ironically, this is one of two such daggers I’ve had in the past 6 months, but before that, I can’t remember one in 10 years!  Please note: I am working on a set of hangers for this dagger, and the buyer of this dagger will have first right of refusal on the hangers.
