Description

This is a United States Army Ike jacket used during World War II. The jacket is the M1943 Eisenhower pattern, standard issue for U.S. Army personnel. Visible insignia include Technician Fourth Grade (T/4) rank patches on both sleeves and the 10th Mountain Division shoulder patch on the right arm. The jacket also features the Army Air Forces insignia on the collar and a unit insignia on the left sleeve. The 10th Mountain Division was a specialized infantry division trained for mountain and winter warfare. This jacket was worn by enlisted technicians serving in this division during the 1940s.
