Description

This is a Third Class award plaque for the German Horse Breeders' Association. The plaque features a horse figure above a German eagle clutching a swastika, with an inscription on the reverse. The inscription reads: "FÜR VERDIENSTE UM DIE WEITERFÜHRUNG UND ERTÜCHTIGUNG DER DEUTSCHEN REITERJUGEND" (For merits in the continuation and strengthening of the German Riding Youth). The award was given for contributions to German equestrian youth development during the period of the Third Reich.  Measures about 5x5 inches.  Note: Shotgun shell provided for size comparison only (not included).
