Well preserved 'Field Marshall" series sword. This is the "Wrangal" Pattern, which is denoted by the left-facing eagle head. Overall length of the sword is 35 inches. Hilt is very heavy brass, and retains more than 90% of the fire gold finish. Scabbard features nearly 100% paint, with only light aging. NO dents whatsoever, or rust. Blade is near flawless, with only very light age. no chips, loss to the plated finish, or other damage. Buffer pad is present. The only damage to this sword is a small piece of the plastic covering missing from the handle ... see photos. Paint it black and you will hardly notice! Each of these sword patterns was named after an army general. Friedrich Heinrich Ernst Graf von Wrangel was a Generalfeldmarschall of the Prussian Army.
