The rarest SS Sleeve Eagle on the planet with less than 10 in existence. This piece was purchased from noted author and dealer Kelly Hicks of SS Steel, as a part of a full grouping of insignia belonging to Dietrich. The eagle is definitely tunic removed. Dietrich wore these only late in the war, and then for only a short period. The are found on the three Dietrich tunics that exist. There is some speculation that these may also have been designated for wear by Police Generals carrying Waffen SS Rank. Either way, an exceptionally rare eagle. Please note: this item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Kelly Hicks. He sold all the items contained in the letter, and I was fortunate enough to get the eagle and boards.
