Description

West German issued Bergmütze is made of woolen fabric with color similar to the earlier Polizei. Medium grass green piping around crown. Maker marked "Johannes Heinrich" under sweatshield, dated 1967 and size marked 57. Civilian Edelweiß souvenir pin from Berchtesgaden is mounted on the flap. Black/red/golden cockade. West German military and government uniforms, caps, and equipment from the 50s and 60s are getting harder to find, even in Germany! Excellent condition showing only some tears to the leather sweatband.
