Description

Beautiful quality, well-preserved specimen of a Wehrmacht Officer's dagger, produced by the Carl Eickhorn firm. Dagger grades 95% condition with all silvering, no damage, and a 99% mint blade with only the most minor signs of age (not able to photograph defects they are so small). What makes this dagger unique is a very fine scratching with the original officer's name and home town: Pohling (his name) and Wernigerode (his home town). Wernigerode is a town in the district of Harz, Saxony-Anhalt in Germany. Research should be possible here.
