The tunic started out as a tailored Waffenrock which was then converted info a service tunic for a Panzer Oberleutnant. Fine quality tricot wool, the pockets and cuffs were tailor added and are of field grey tricot wool that matches that of the tunic. Hand embroidered bullion breast eagle and collar tabs. Subdued boards each with a gilt pip. There is some mothing to the pink wool underlay. There are several sets of badges loops on the breast pocket and the ribbons for the Iron Cross II. Class and Eastern Front medal are mounted in the buttonhole. Krim Shield is nicely hand stitched on the sleeve. The reverse of the tunic shows the old 'Rock' style and the belt support buttons were removed. The interior is lined with artificial silk with tailor's label and internal belt. Except for the minor mothing, primarily to the pink wool of the right shoulder board, the tunic shows normal age and use.
