Description
1890s vintage 2 pace medal bar for an 1870-71 war veteran. The decorations are--the 1870 Victory medal for combatants. The edge has the notation indicating that the medal was struck from captured cannons. 2nd medal is the Wilhelm I. Centennial award. The early bar allows one to remove the medals and wear the bar as a ribbon bar. The bar retains its hinge, pin, and catch.
