Description
Fine example of the Alpaka/Silver onlay Honor Goblet of the Luftwaffe, which was awarded to Unteroffizier Johann Krause, described on the death notice as a pilot in a Bomber Group, decorated with the Iron Cross Ist and 2nd Class, Bomber Spange in Silver and the Wound Badge. The goblet shows no dents or abrasions and with toned silver finish. It's correctly maker marked by Wagner. As noted, the original death notice for the pilot is included as is the envelope in which it was mailed (in Holland). The paper shows age and some splitting along the folds. The goblet has survived in excellent condition.
