Bavarian Infantry Reserve Officer Model 1897. Beautiful and never altered officer helmet. Black lacquered leather helmet body with fire gilded brass trim. Helmet body has fine form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer still has a polished sheen. Interior has the officer sweat leather and tan colored silk headliner. Square front visor lined in green, back visor lined red. No extra holes in helmet body. Interior of helmet has metal support plate under crossed spike base. Fine gilded metal trim has never been cleaned or polished. Fire gilt crossed spike base with officer pearl ring and removable fluted spike. The Frontplate is the Bavarian Gilt heraldic crest surrounded by two Lions with the "In treue fest" banner with a siolver Bavarian styled Reserve cross in the center. Flat gilt chinscales on rosettes. Officer style 2 piece Reichs and Bavarian cockades. All original Bavarian Infantry Officer Helmet. The helmet shows honest wear but is 100% Original and Untouched helmet.
