Political Leader's tunic for a Gau Level Administrative Abteilungsleiter (Department Leader) or Gau Level Hauptstellenleiter The tunic is tailored of wool tricot with red collar piping, red piped red wool collar tabs with double "L" shaped silver bullion swastika Tresse, and silver colored political leader buttons. This is the 2nd Pattern Political insignia, which was worn between about 1934 and 1936. or 3rd Pattern (1936 to 1938). There are multiple award loops on the breast pocket, as well as a 4 ribbon bar above the pocket. A reproduction Blood Order ribbon (which brightly fluoresces under UV light)  is correctly sewn through the right breast pocket button hole. The armband should be the wool type but is cotton and shows a good amount of wear, particularly to the swastika. The tunic shows wear and age throughout with staining to the shoulder areas and spotting to the cuffs. There is a diamond shaped or rectangular stain of some sort along the left side seam. The interior is lined with artificial silk with a piece along the bottom edge torn out. The lining also shows staining and wear from use and age. It's possible that a archival dry cleaning lab might be able to treat the staining. It's a nice early PL piece that might be able to be cleaned up to some degree.
