Description
WWI M16 German Helmet retains a decent amount of its original paint, which appears to be green and brown. There is also a decent amount of surface rust to the piece. The rare frontal armor forehead plate (Stirnpanzer) is included, which also shows rust and some original paint. The retaining straps for the Stirnpanzer are lost to time. The helmet liner rivets are the correct type, to include the special rivet at the back of the helmet which was needed to install the frontal armor. The liner is still present although the flaps and the chinstrap is in relic condition. The original liner pads are also present. The thick leather liner band appears to be in very good condition. A very tough to find set!
