SA kepi for Group Südmark has property and inventory stamps for a Czechoslovakian theater in the lining. Cotton twill body with rose-pink wool color band which shows some mothing. As can be seen in the images, a bit of the steel spring may be glimpsed due to s small wear mark in the top piping. Correct ventilation grommets. The kepi should have a smooth button beneath the later style eagle but this one has a pebbled button installed. A cloth Edelweiß is mounted to the left side of the kepi. It should have the long stemmed Austrian Edelweiß in metal mounted on a lozenge-shaped piece of rose-pink wool instead. The chinstrap is the correct type. The interior has a ribbed artificial silk lining to the sides and top, which is not regulation but may be original to the kepi. The leather sweatband appears to be an old but later addition. Overall the kepi shows age and wear but is still in good form and has held up well.
