1917 Luger is a 100% veteran bring-back, as seen on the bring-back certificate.  Only a few thousand of the 4-inch "standard" barrel Lugers were made by Erfurt, as the company focused on production of the Artillery "Lange" model.  The toggle assembly is mismatched, serial numbered numbered '44', while the rest of the pistol is numbered '1120'. This piece has some minor corrosive pitting throughout (see photos).  Comes with holster, which is slashed and has sewn repairs. Comes complete with two WW1 era magazines, an original box of German era ammunition, and the original bring-back paperwork.  Magazine serial numbers do NOT match, but were likely carried this way by the WW1 Officer.  Please note: one of the magazines is full of modern ammunition, which will be removed prior to shipping this Luger (it was obtained this way, and was likely used by the family of the vet as a 'shooter' gun).  Great chance to own a shooter Luger that due to non-matching toggle and condition, is going to be affordable, and still a pleasure to own!  DOMESTIC shipping only to an FFL.
