Description

Fine quality tricot wool tunic with issue breeches for an SA Brigadeführer from SA Group Bayerische Ostmark. The tunic has the maximum number of service stripes on the cuffs, indicating joining the SA (or some other Political/Party Organization) between 1. January 1926 and 31. December 1926. Collar tabs are hand embroidered gilt bullion on light blue wool; shoulder board features gilt and silver metallic twist cording on light blue. Wool armband is correctly tacked to the tunic arm. The collar is properly piped with gilt twist cording. The left breast pocket has loops for 3 badges and a ribbon bar. The tunic shows use and normal wear, with some separations at the cuff fold as can be seen in the images. The breeches are actually the issue type made of mottled brown wool with typical cotton waist lining and are set up for suspenders. The RZM label is located under the rear pocketing material. Size stamped '25'. Tie straps for calf closure are still present. The breeches show little, if any, use or wear. While it's possible this officer had worn the issue type SA breeches, it's more likely that they have been used for display with the tunic.  Scarceuniform for a higher ranking SA leader.
