This is a highly controversial piece that has been the source of endless debates on "the forums" since the late 1990s! Thought by many to be an authentic variation of the 1st Model General's Degen for Luftwaffe, it is fair to say that only the Eickhorn specimen is 100% acknowledged to be original. That said, the quality of these pieces, when they surface for sale, is probably why so many people believe in them. They are actually quite rare, and were probably produced in the 1960s in an extremely limited number. This specimen is in near perfect condition, exhibits amazing quality and construction.
