Description
Quality early specimen of a Luftwaffe Pilot Badge, constructed of heavy Tombak material, and beautifully finished with a frosted silver wreath and darkened eagle. Constructed by the firm of Berg & Nolte in Lüdenscheid, the piece is marked on the center reverse accordingly. Slight wear to the high points on the wreath, this example retains most of its original factory frosted finish. Included is what I believe to be a reproduction case, known as the Lattice Fake, which shows believable wear.
