RAD Officer dagger in nearly flawless condition. Heavily silvered fittings are in near perfect condition, with almost none of the characteristic "bubbling" on the finish. Scabbard is free of dents. Blade retains the factory polish, and has no trademark visible on the blade. There is a very faint indication that the trademark was removed at some time, but the polish is so perfect in that area (so close to the factory) it's only visible in certain light. Motto is deeply and crisply etched.
This is an amazing piece, which many years ago, served as proof that most early daggers began their life from the factory, with white grips that over time, oxidized to yellow and orange. Vet acquired by me many years ago, this dagger, when assembled at the factory, was put together with grips of two different materials - a white plastic that does not darken over time, and a phenolic resin that does darken over time. To the factory worker, there was no visible difference. Only now, after decades, is the difference clear.
