Rare opportunity to own one of a very few Honor Daggers by the Carl Eickhorn Firm that featured a plain steel blade in lieu of the more commonly seen Damascus blade.  An identical specimen to this one resided in the famous collection of the late Julian Milestone (this may in fact be the exact dagger). Dagger features the standard oak leaf cross guards identical to those found on other Honor Daggers.  Scabbard features the oak leaf fittings, and is covered in smooth grain "moroccan leather" identical to the the more common examples that feature a chased-scabbard motif.  The handle is correct for this dagger type, being that of a standard RZM pattern dagger.  Blade is near flawless with just a couple of rust spots, and features both the RZM code of Eickhorn plus the 1939-1941 "Squirrel holding sword" trademark.  Crossguards are internally numbered.  While this dagger will not garner the $50,000 price tag of the Damascus examples, it bears consideration as a dagger type missing from most if not all collections.
