This collection of 3 Gau badges were featured in my book Gau Decorations of Hitler's Germany. The collection consists of a Gau Essen Badge in gold (cross hammers on a sword), a Gau Baden for females, and the Gau East Hannover.
The Gau Essen badge is pictured on page 120, and is one of several types known to exist. This is an example that is not silver content marked, though it's weight is identical to the 935 marked version (both are 41mm in height). Although not articulated in my book, further research has lead me to believe that the unmarked version was a "second type" produced after the first type was produced and awarded. The award is one of the more ambiguous awards, as it is not in the 1936 Organization Book that features other Gau Badges.
The Gau Baden for Females (small wreath with eagle centered) is identical to that shown on page 36 of my book. It was awarded to females who met the same critera as their male counterparts in the Gau. This badge is shown being worn on page 34.
The Gau East Hannover is the exact badge pictured on page 84 and 85 of my book, and is in outstanding condition. It is NOT the "tinnie" of similar design.
Overall, an exciting group, two of which were pictured in my book.
