Offered here is a numbers matching P-38 pistol manufactured by Walther in January of 1942, as indicated by the 372J code stamped on the frame and slide. The intact Waffenamt markings and lack of import marks are consistent with this pistol being brought home by a G.I. as a wartime souvenir. This pistol retains its original magazine and its Gebr. Klinge Lederwarenfabrik produced hard-shell holster. A fine example of an iconic and highly desirable German sidearm.
