German WWII Waffen-SS embroidered SS sleeve insignia intended for wear on the issued sport shirt. Features the distinctive SS runes in white on a black circular background with a white border. Machine-stitched construction on a cotton backing typical of wartime production methods. The patch was affixed to sports shirts worn by SS personnel for informal or athletic activities. This example exemplifies authentic wartime insignia issued to SS troops.
