This is a German M18 steel combat helmet was manufactured around 1918 in the final stages of the First World War, and later refurbished by the Wehrmacht in the 1930s for frontline service. This double decal example bears both the German national tri-color as well as the German Army (Heer) insignia. This helmet retains the vast majority of its wartime paint along with its original liner and chinstrap. This helmet is a very desirable piece of German military history, with a story spanning two world wars.
