Excellent WWII China-Burma-India Theater grouping, centered around an elaborate theater-made leather blood chit/souvenir panel featuring a 48-star American flag, Nationalist Chinese flag, and applied CBI insignia. The lower portion is extensively personalized with names, Asian characters, and wartime locations including Burma, India, China, Calcutta, New Delhi, Lahore, Algiers, Fort Knox, Camp Chaffee, Milan, Otranto and others.
Also included is a theater-made embroidered CBI shoulder insignia, a “From Somewhere in India” Christmas V-Mail from the 1st Combat Cargo Group, and an unusual original Bob Hope Radio Show for the Army Air Forces admission ticket from AAF Muroc, California, dated April 25, 1944.
A particularly attractive and personal CBI grouping with excellent display appeal and considerable potential for further research.
