Worn and salty specimen of an M43 Officer field cap. This is the style with the two button front, and the independent white cotton skull and side eagle.  Exterior shows wear, with white "powdering" to the bullion piping.  Looks white, but it's guaranteed to be bullion!  Interior is green silk/rayon, and shows wear.  Front sweat band has a portion missing - see photos.  Insignia are a perfect match with respect to soiling and age, and the hat exhibits 100% consistent wear and age.  Compare with the "like new" version listed in this auction.
