This beautiful example was originally purchased from blade collector and dealer JR Meda, who is known for exquisite taste in the highest quality and condition.  I really can't say enough about this piece.  Beautiful external fittings, 98% paint on a nearly perfect scabbard.  Rich ebony grip with a perfectly inset SS Grip rune.  Pommel is the step-down variety, with the interior cap-cover intact.  Blade is the matte-polished finish typical of this sword.  Scabbard throat is marked with the design cartouche.  Knot is original to the piece.  Unmarked blade.  Buffer pad may be a replacement, as it's normally pure white, but in this case, has a black color to the "blade side."  Housed in an original grey/green felt/wool storage bag.  Closure string missing, and the bag has a couple of separations to the side seam.
