This is a large format colorized photograph of an SA Feldjägerkorps member. The SA Feldjägerkorps was a short lived (October 1933 to April 1935) SA police unit mainly concerned with SA related investigations. The FJK was absorbed into the German Police (primarily the Schutzpolizei, Motorized Gendarmerie, The photograph shows the subject wearing the standard SA Feldjäger uniform with distinctive gorget and insignia. The lower right corner bears a visible swastika armband. The photograph is marked "Paris 1942," although its historical context had ceased well before the beginning of World War II. Pen is included in the photo for size comparison, and not part of the lot. NOTE: Of interest, this picture has been hand-enhanced on the insignia, and there is NO eagle on the cap.
