Description

This is the only version of this cross produced in actual 800 silver.  This one is manufactured by Deschler & Sohn, and features the "1" marked on the jump-ring.

The NSDAP Faithful Service Cross for 50 years was largely symbolic, because it was effectively impossible to earn through literal party membership. Created in 1939, the award looked back on a movement that had only formally existed since around 1920, meaning no one could actually complete 50 years of continuous service. To justify it, the regime counted time retroactively, including involvement in early precursor groups like the German Workers' Party or other ideologically aligned nationalist activities before the party’s official founding. In practice, the decoration served as a top-tier honor for early loyalists and a piece of propaganda, reinforcing the narrative of a long, continuous struggle rather than reflecting a literal half-century of service.
