Luftwaffe dagger used by the German Air Force during World War II. It represents the first pattern type issued to Luftwaffe officers. Leather covered parts (scabbard and grip) show minor nicks but leather is 98% present.  Exterior constructed of nickel, indicating early production when this model was worn by officers (later NCOs wore this model).  Plated blade shows minor age, with a few very minor nicks to the blade edge (not visible, just felt, when running your hand down the edge).  Otherwise, blade is superb.  Chain is undamaged.  Overall, an excellent piece.
