Description

This is a Soviet Order of Victory medal. It features a five-pointed red star with a central medallion depicting the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin, surrounded by laurel and oak branches, with the Cyrillic letters "СССР" (USSR) at the top and the word "ПОБЕДА" (Victory) at the bottom. The original medal is distinguished by its use of platinum, diamonds, and enamel, reflecting its status as one of the highest military decorations awarded by the Soviet Union. The Order of Victory was awarded exclusively to high-ranking Soviet and allied commanders for exceptional leadership during World War II. Instituted in 1943, it symbolized supreme military achievement and was one of the rarest and most prestigious Soviet orders. Recipients were recognized for their strategic victories that significantly contributed to the defeat of Nazi Germany.  Genuine examples are "unobtanium" collectibles.  This reproduction is quite impressive.
