A fine older copy of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross of 1914 with ribbon and Godet marked case.   The cross shows age and handling, which certainly enhances its appearance. The ribbon loop is silver marked however there are no markings I can see on the cross itself. The neck ribbon with ties also shows age and use. Black leatherette case with push button closure features ribbon storage area.  Black velvet lined base, off white silk or imitation silk lining to lid with Godet marking. Superb example of an exceptionally rare award that is certainly missing from  most collections.
