Original Volkssturm armband, marked "Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmacht." This is a textbook late-war printed armband issued to the national militia created in October 1944 as Germany’s final defensive measure. Produced on coarse cotton with the correct black center band, white script, and red borders, flanked by the standard state eagles on both sides. These armbands were widely distributed during the chaotic last months of the war to men and boys outside the regular army structure, making originals an unmistakable artifact of the regime’s collapse. Condition is excellent for the type, with strong color, sharp printing, and no postwar alterations. A clean, authentic example of a historically significant late-war insignia.
