This is an early shoulder board (wish I had its matching double) configured for wear by an NCO of the Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler. A variety of these types of boards exist, as units of the LAH were spread throughout Germany in the early years, and standardization was at best, minimal. Black wool with SS Style "Square Diamond" tresse. LAH symbol is cotton embroidered and machine stitched. Minor wear throughout.
