This is a duplicate set of medals that originates from the estate of Ernest K Turner, who served extensively during WWII, and was later killed in Korea. Of interest is that his brother, a Staff Sergeant, received the Medal of Honor for actions in WW2! With the exception of "The Soldier's Medal" these are all duplicate medals ordered from the US Government. The bronze star, silver star, and a post-war Soldier's Medal were engraved with Turner's name, but are NOT the original wartime medals.
