Nicely conditioned WW1 or earlier cavalry saber featuring a solid nickel hilt, ray-skin covered grip.  Overall length is 37.5 inches.  Leather scabbard is in outstanding condition with only age cmmensurate with the vintage of the piece (no damage).  Scabbard fittings are held in place by staples.  Upper scabbard fitting is SLIGHTLY separated along the join line, but this is hardly visible. Blade is etched, with some minor corrosion (see photos for the worst of it), but a deep crisp floral etch motif.  Underneath the handle, a trademark is visible.  It's almost impossible to make it out, but it looks to be a WKC knight's head stamp.
