Description
Pre WWI example of the Pickelhaube for enlisted ranks. Brass fittings, and is complete with both cockades and chinstrap, as well as its leather lining. The leather helmet shell lost some of its original surface finish and has had scuffing and abrasions, drying and some misshaping. It appears to have been refinished, although when it was done is unknown. Please see the images for more detail.
